The family of the late Pauline Cooney held their annual memorial golf classic on Saturday, June 9th to raise funds for the Clare branch of Diabetes Ireland. The event took place at Rathbane Golf Club in Limerick.

A long-time resident of Shannon, Pauline Cooney passed away on March 17th, 2014 due to complications having lived with the challenge of diabetes for many decades.
The memorial golf classic, now in its fifth year, is organised annually by Pauline Cooney’s family, including her husband Gerry, who also lives with diabetes and has been an active member of the Clare diabetes support group for a number of years.
The Clare Branch of Diabetes Ireland would like to extend sincere thanks to Gerry and Thomas, Mary Phelan, Micheal Bateman and Mike O’Grady for all their work and dedication in organising the event which this year raised €2,600. They would also like to thank all their sponsors and donors.
