Bridge Utd march into quarter finals
Clare Cup Round 3: Shannon Hibernians 0–1 Bridge United

A moment of magic was all that separated Shannon Hibs and Bridge Utd at a blustery Riverside Park on Sunday morning.

Although the visitors dominated possession for long periods it took a moment of brilliance from Derek Fahy on the half hour mark to separate the sides.

Christy Griffen played the ball out wide to the left wing where Fahy dinked the ball over the full-back’s head before rifling home to the far top corner.

Hibs main threat came from set pieces with Jimmy Houlihan going close on 42 mins and Jamie Egan on 89 mins.
