After a hugely successful 2017 Festival, the annual Ennis Book Club Festival returns from 2nd to the th4 March with its unique mix of readings, discussion, comedy and chat in Ireland’s friendliest town.

This year some well known literary figures, including Sebastian Barry, Sally Rooney, John Connolly and Liz Nugent will be in attendance.
Additional events have been announced including Sunday Miscellany, Carlo Gébler, Mary Kenny and much more.
Mary Morrissey will lead the discussion at one of the free Festival events, a talk on how to get more from reading.
This will be based on Éilís Ní Dhuibhne’s The Dancers Dancing.  Although it’s not necessary to read the book, it would certainly add to the enjoyment – and it’s a great read.
The book is set in 1972 with four teenage girls spending a month in the Donegal Gaeltacht, learning more about life than about the language. T
