Shannon Kickboxing Club returns to Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel this Saturday, 11th November, for Lord of the Rings 12, the annual fight night extravaganza.

This year club coach Howie Vincent has organised the 12th in the series of Lord of the Rings encounters which features three top class contests.
Howie’s son Josh will fight for the World Kickboxing Association 75kg title. This contest will consist of five 2-minute rounds.
The very popular Liam Alford also stars in Lord of the Rings with an international contest against a Northern Ireland opponent lined up.
Another highly anticipated bout is the Professional K1 fight lined up for David Ryan over three 3-minute rounds.
As usual, the full card for this year’s Lord of the Rings 12 will include a host of local athletes and boxers from Ennis, Limerick, Tralee, Cork, Wexford and Belfast.
As in previous years, a full house is expected so it is advised to arrive early. Doors open in Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel at 6.30 pm and the entrance fee is €12.
Shannon Kickboxing Club is grateful to club member Gerard McGettigan of Shannonside Motors, Smithstown, for sponsoring this year’s event.
