Congratulations to all who took part in the recent very successful ‘Cycle for Ethan & MPS’ event which raised €3,804 for a very good cause.

The event was hosted by Shannon cycling club, CRNS (Club Rothaiochta na Sionainne). Most of the money raised will go towards research into a cure for the MPS condition that young Ethan lives with.  Some of the money will be used to purchase a specially adapted bike trailer that will enable Ethan to take part in next year’s event, when he will be towed along behind his parents.

2018 will also mark the fifth anniversary of ‘Cycle for Ethan & MPS’, already plans are being made by the event committee who intend to make this one to remember!

CRNS is grateful to the ever dependable community of Shannon for their valued help with marshalling the event this year which, they say certainly would not have run as smoothly without your help and willingness to go above and beyond.

Committee members Val Byrnes, Ray Cordon, and Shirley Hennigar, recently presented the cheque for €3,804 to Ethan’s grandparents Joan and Eamon Fanneran.
