Raoul Murphy (12) and Jennifer Kasak (8) won bronze in the competition that attracted over 100 competitors in a variety of age groups from clubs across the country

Brown belt Raoul competed well to obtain the third highest score in a traditional form of Karate called Kata.
Meanwhile, Jennifer, a red belt, won bronze in Kata and second place in the fight category in just her second competition ever.
Another club member, Keenan Keyes, showed great fighting spirit on the day despite slipping off the podium at one stage.
Last year Pawel Cyganik, one of the club’s more experienced members, was proud to represent Ireland in the Japan Karate Shoto-Federation European Cup held in Brussels.
Pawel brought home two bronze medals in the fight category, both team and individual. Commenting after he said, “in Karate we always bring something from the competition, medals and experience. We win or learn.”
