The ever-busy minds of Shannon hoteliers John Gavin and Dermot Kelly have been active again as the entrepreneurial duo unfolded the latest addition to their Shannon Springs Hotel with a free barbecue.

A new outdoor street-style area, incorporating a bar with bench-style seating and a very innovative design and layout, and involving an investment of €150,000 has been well received by patrons who have said it feels like being on holidays, in Shannon. “We engaged with Noel Tate of  Art Hause, a design company from Galway; they have been involved in the design of theatre sets and the fit-out of many pubs across USA and Europe. We are really happy with the end result as it offers something new to Shannon.

“It was a race against time to get it finished for the sunny spell but we made it and are amazed at how good it looks in the sunshine!  “It also adds to the street view of the hotel for passing motorists. We are delighted with the result and so pleased with the feedback from our customers. Everyone loves the décor.”
