St Caimin’s soccer team easily accounted for Cork side Colaiste Choilm for a tremendous victory to retain their FAI Munster Schools First Year Girls title in an exciting game played at Charleville FC’s grounds on Tuesday.

The Shannon girls returned home jubilant after a decisive 4-1 win, with goals from Aleah O’Rourke, Abby King, Ella Kelly and Emma Nolan in a tense final.  Team captain Emma Nolan proudly received the cup on behalf of her team mates.

St Caimin’s are now Munster champions for the third time having won this trophy last year and in 2013. They now qualify for an All Ireland semi final contest against Leinster champions, Presentation Secondary School, from Kilkenny. The game will be played on Thursday 18th May at 3.00pm in Portlaoise FC.

Best of luck to the girls and their management team and here’s hoping they will bring an All Ireland title back to Clare this year.
